What can the world’s oldest companies teach us about endurance?

My book, OUTLAST, will be published by Scribner (Simon & Schuster) and translated internationally in 2027.

Outlast is a deep exploration of what can we learn about long-term thinking by studying the most enduring firms of all time.

Over the past few years, I’ve traveled the world in search of answers, researching some behind the longest-running businesses ever created—the oldest dating back to 578 AD.

My goal is to uncover the principles behind their longevity and offer tools for modern leaders about how to evolve, stay focused, and preserve what matters in the long-run.

The deeper I go, the more counterintuitive the answers become.

I’d love for you to join me in this journey. Each month, I write The Nightcrawler, a newsletter with behind-the-scenes notes and essays for long-term thinkers.

It’s good to be on this journey together.

    WHY OUTLAST

In 2023, I had a near-death experience that shattered my sense of time—and forced me to confront what survival truly means.

This book is my response: an invitation to look past the urgency of the now and rediscover the profound rewards of thinking long-term.
